The American Red Cross of Northwest Missouri and Miller County Health Center are teaming up to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by home fires by ensuring all homes in Miller County have working smoke alarms.
On average 36 people suffer injuries as a result of home fires every day. Last year, in Northwest Missouri, the Red Cross responded to more than 100 fires.
