Eldon Community Health Challenge

The Community Health Challenge was designed to help the community learn and grow in a healthy way. The challenge is completely FREE! Here's how it works:

We will be giving away prizes weekly and will draw for the grand prizes at the end of the 8-week challenge. Simply participate in our weekly events to be entered to win. Attending a Community Health Challenge workout class will earn you one ticket, attending the weekly health class will earn you two tickets. Winners are drawn at random each week.

There are a few ways to register:
You can stop by the Community Center and complete the form.
You can download the registration form here (look below the poster) and turn it into the Community Center or email it to mbrandt@eldonmo.org.
You can sign-up right before you attend your first event

Bring the whole family to get active and work off some energy and stress! Classes are free for all individuals registered for the challenge! Classes are hosted inside of the Eldon Community Center.

Schedule of workout classes:
Mondays: High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is offered from 6:00-7:00 PM
Thursdays: Yoga is offered from 10:00-11:00 AM
Saturdays: Zumba is offered from 10:00- 11:00 AM

We will host a variety of healthy classes every Tuesday for 8 weeks. These classes are designed to give you the knowledge and skills you and your family needs to live your healthiest life. Classes are every Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Eldon Community Center. Classes are an hour long unless otherwise stated.

Schedule of Classes:
March 5th: Goal Setting. Learn about short- and long-term goals and set some goals for the challenge!

March 12th: Finances 101. Acquire tips and tricks to help you reach your financial goals!

March 19th: Physical Activity. Learn more about the importance of movement!

March 26th: Nutrition Basics. Discover how to make smart food choices!

April 2nd: Know your ACE score. Learn about trauma's impact on your lifelong health! *This class will be 90 minutes long.

April 9th: Parenting Stress. Develop stress relief techniques to help you be the best parent you can be!

April 16th: Health on a Budget. Healthy eating doesn't have to come with a big price tag- explore the best ways to stretch your dollar!

April 23rd: Celebrate your successes with us at Rock Island Park! Grand prize winners will be drawn and announced!
